Day-to-day of the role:
- Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the daily operations of the kitchen.
- Ensure the highest standards of food preparation and presentation.
- Develop and implement new menus and recipes that meet the high standards of our establishment.
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area.
- Handle any issues that arise in the kitchen and act swiftly to resolve them.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a reputable restaurant or hotel.
- Strong leadership skills and experience in managing a team.
- Excellent knowledge of cooking techniques and ingredients.
- Proficiency in various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Culinary school diploma or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
