Job Title: Chemical Plant (Packing) Operator, 5 Crew and 3 Crew vacancies

Location: PQ Silicas - Warrington Site

Salary: 5 Crew - £37,164 per annum, 3 Crew - £35,011

The role:

To safely carry out the duties of a chemical plant packer across multiple areas of the plant. Working on a variable shift pattern as part of a team.

Key Accountabilities:

• Preparation and set-up of the packing system in line with standard instructions. Ensuring all packaging, equipment, labelling and raw materials are available for the specific planned product and tonnage.
• Working closely under the guidance of the Microniser Operator to meet set KPI's
• Adherence to packing guidelines for sampling, pack presentation, labelling, weight control, addition of additives, reworking and adhering to good manufacturing practice.
• Active involvement complying with safety, environmental and Company standards, including auditing, reporting, team improvement activities and housekeeping in multiple areas.
• Communicate both verbally and in written format, in a timely fashion. Including completion of batch documentation, handover , assisting others to improve knowledge and understanding
• Cleandown of process equipment and packing areas, maintaining GMP standards.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications

• Relevant Industrial experience - preferable
• Manual Handling skills (formal training - preferable)
• Experience of 24 hour continuous shift working - preferable
• Units and elements of C&G PT2 Process Plant Operations or NVQ level 1 - desirable
• Current FLT - powered hand truck license - desirable
