My client is an international packaging manufacturer, offering sustainable, plastic-free packaging to the cosmetics and personal care industry (And more). Due to an internal promotion, the opportunity to recruit a Chief Commercial Officer has arisen to drive business growth and increased profits

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement growth-focused strategies aligned with company objectives to boost profit and growth.
  • Establish and maintain service level agreements within budgetary and structural guidelines.
  • Oversee and approve customer quotations; manage senior-level client relationships for both new and existing customers.
  • Foster interdepartmental collaboration across supply chain, sales, operations, finance, and new product development.
  • Monitor and enhance sales forecast accuracy and manage service levels, including on-time delivery and lead times.
  • Respond to margin challenges and implement essential business processes and sales and operations planning.
  • Supervise tracking of product costs, financial goals, and budgets.
  • Strategise performance improvements by analysing sales and other relevant reports.
  • Provide support to the commercial leadership team

Requirements

  • A degree in Business Administration or a related field is beneficial.
  • Proven track record as a Commercial Director or Senior Manager with experience leading sales teams in a similar industry.
  • Successful history of devising and executing commercial strategies to enhance sales, profits, and margins.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with key clients, particularly in the Personal Care sector.
  • Expertise in budget management, pricing strategies, and financial reporting.
  • In-depth understanding of costing and quotation processes.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills, capable of effective negotiation.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strategic and commercially aware with advanced problem-solving skills.
  • Skilled in mentoring and developing professionals, with notable presentation abilities.
  • Professional, thorough, and data-oriented.

Salary : 75000 - 90000
