Our client, a leading global commodities trading company, is seeking a Chief of Staff to support the creation of a new entity. This role will drive change management, ensure effective communication, and provide project management support for strategic initiatives. Working closely with senior leadership, the ideal candidate will lead transformative projects, engage stakeholders, and enhance operational efficiency to support the company's strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner closely with the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) and senior leadership to define and execute strategic goals.
- Manage the CSO's time, filter information, and prioritise meetings and requests to ensure efficiency.
- Lead end-to-end strategic projects, ensuring successful delivery in alignment with business priorities.
- Oversee daily operations, coordinating efforts across departments to drive alignment and execution.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing insights and managing company-wide initiatives.
- Drive communication and collaboration across multiple stakeholder groups to ensure alignment and successful outcomes.
Skillset and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Chief of Staff within the Energy sector or other highly regulated industries, managing complex, end-to-end projects in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Strong background in top-tier management or strategy consultancy (MBB preferred), with the ability to leverage strategic insights to drive transformation.
- Demonstrated experience wearing multiple hats, managing competing priorities, and balancing strategic and operational demands.
- Expertise in project management and PMO methodologies, with a focus on driving high-performance project execution and ensuring alignment with organisational strategy.
- Proven ability to deliver high-impact strategies and initiatives, consistently meeting or exceeding performance expectations in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with senior leaders and a wide range of stakeholders.
- A high level of professionalism and discretion, with experience handling sensitive information and managing relationships at all levels of the organisation.
