Team Leader
  • Annual Salary: £31,288 - £33,358 (depending on experience)
  • Location: Hesketh Bank
  • Job Type: Full-time

We are excited to announce the opening of a new young person home in Hesketh Bank and are seeking a dedicated Team Leader. The role requires a compassionate individual with a Level 3 qualification and significant experience in supporting young people with complex trauma-based behaviour. This is a full-time position with a 5 on 2 off shift pattern, offering a competitive salary and a range of benefits.

Day to Day of the Role:
  • Lead and manage a team providing care and support to young people with complex trauma-based behaviour.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality care and support services in line with organisational standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with the young people, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Plan and coordinate staff rotas to ensure adequate coverage and support.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care plans, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to staff, promoting professional development and a positive team culture.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support the overall wellbeing of the young people.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must hold a Level 3 qualification relevant to the role.
  • Significant experience in a similar role, supporting young people with complex needs.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A compassionate and patient approach to care.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and varying shift patterns.
  • Enhanced DBS check (fully paid for by the organisation).
