Blackburn with Darwen Children’s Social Care require an Advanced Social Work Practitioner to cover a sickness for 3 months initially, to start by the end of August. for the CP / Court Team

The role is 5 days per week and Monday to Friday from 9am - 5pm and based in Blackburn town centre office building. There is some hybrid working and the days for this will be in agreement with the Team Manager though some flexibility to meet the needs of the service may be required at times.

The worker will have at least 3 years post ASYE experience, good IT inputting skills, communication skills, be a team worker and willing to help less experienced workers. They will hold a caseload of some more complex and diverse cases but this will be a lower caseload due to the nature of the role.

The candidate will have access to a car every day, be able to show evidence of development, and have up to date SWE registration and an enhanced DBS check

• DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work
• Social Work England registration
• Enhanced and in date DBS certificate.
• Excellent communication skills and be able to make good decisions based on information available.
• Can work alone and within/contribute to a team/multi-agency set ups
• Possess knowledge of service needs.
• Competent IT skills and be able to navigate electronic file/recording systems.
• Can write clear, concise, and robust assessment/reports/files.
• Have a flexible approach to work and working hours when the need arises
