Key Responsibilities:
- You will use motivational approaches to promote engagement from families & the partners supporting them.
- You may work closely with other professionals, including health care providers, teachers/lecturers & law enforcement, to gather information and develop intervention plans.
- You will provide ongoing support and guidance to families, including counselling, advocacy, and assistance with accessing community resources.
- Throughout your time in Surrey, you will monitor the progress of children and families within your caseload and make recommendations for adjustments to plans as needed.
- You will be expected to maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions and interventions, in accordance with legal and organisational requirements.
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children and families in a social work setting, for a minimum of three years.
- A degree in social work with completion of ASYE.
- Registration with Social Work England as a Qualified Social Worker.
- A valid UK Drivers License, with use of own car.
- Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to identify risks and develop effective intervention plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families from diverse backgrounds.
- A commitment to upholding the highest standards of professional ethics and integrity.
