Claims Adjuster - Personal Injury & Medical Malpractice

We are currently recruiting for a Claims Adjuster on behalf of our client, one of the leading brands in the UK insurance market.

The successful candidate will work as part of the company's Casualty and Specialty Portfolio Claims Team, handling a portfolio of Personal Injury and Medical Malpractice Claims.

Key Responsibilities

• Full management of a portfolio of Personal Injury and Medical Malpractice Claims, from first notification to conclusion.
• Setting the claims strategy and handling internally where possible.
• Ensuring the selection, instruction and active management of external advisers and experts.
• Liaising and negotiating with customers, brokers, claimants and their representatives.
• Demonstrating excellent file handling and claims management skills.
• Working closely with Underwriters to win and retain business and develop the company's insurance products.
• Assisting in the continuous improvement of the company's Claims service by identifying areas of opportunity and helping to create innovative solutions.

Key Requirements

• A part-qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive, Paralegal, or Claims Handler, with experience of handling Personal Injury and/or Medical Malpractice claims.
• Policy coverage knowledge and experience across a broad range of policies and types of business.
• A solid understanding of litigation and the legal process, with knowledge of dispute resolution.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
