Upto £45,000 DOE Plus 8% Bonus and Benefits

Location: Home-based with occasional visits to regional hub.

MERJE is seeking an experienced Income Protection Claims Assessor for a leading insurance company. This role requires expertise in assessing complex income protection claims, ensuring compliance with industry best practices, and supporting team members. The Role

As an Income Protection Claims Specialist, you'll assess complex claims, ensure compliance, and support team members. Key Responsibilities of the Income Protection Claims Specialist:

• Assess Income Protection claims, adhering to industry-leading practices and service level agreements
• Draft and issue claims decision letters and other correspondence
• Liaise with strategic underwriters, management, reinsurers, and other stakeholders
• Support and mentor team members, sharing best practices and medical knowledge
• Participate in process improvement and system testing initiatives

Required knowledge and experience for the Income Protection Claims Specialist role:

• Broad experience in assessing and managing Income Protection claims
• Experience dealing with the Financial Ombudsman Service on claims-related matters
• Good working relationship with reinsurers
• Confident presentation and training skills
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
