Job Description

The purpose of this role is to ensure esure’s Motor Claims suppliers deliver a quality, cost effective service for our customers and people.

Acting as a conduit between frontline claims and our third party partners, the role will be focused on delivering value, ensuring an excellent customer journey, operational performance management of suppliers, reducing cost and spend, maximising revenue and mitigating third party risk.

DIMENSIONS:

  • Initiate, Onboard andManage Suppliers
  • Assist with setting up procedures to improve service and manage costs in relation to the Suppliers and Claims procedures on the more technical aspects of claims, linking in with the Claims Transformation, if applicable.
  • Assist with the preparation of contracts with Legal and Procurement department.
  • Liaising with IT Security, DPO Office and Regulatory Risk, Finance and Compliance in respect of supplier management.

DETAILED ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • To actively seek feedback from the Claims Team in respect of suppliers, monitoring supplier performance and driving improvements.
  • To chair regular structured and effective business review meetings with Claim Suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Measure and monitor delivery and drive improvement of the Supplier partners by continually assessing performance against contractual obligations and where required, putting actions plans in place to drive performance and escalate any underperformance as required.
  • Focussed on commercial and customer outcomes
  • Identify opportunities for added value through the existing and potential future supply chain and putting plans in place to implement
  • Complete Quality Control audits on key suppliers.
  • To complete regular reporting of supplier performance.
  • Managing day to day queries from Suppliers and the Claims Team in respect of Supplier services.
  • Protect the esure brand though fostering strong, positive engagement with external Suppliers.
  • Actively engage with Suppliers and seek improvements to relationships, procedures and costs, establishing/amending processes to achieve this.  Including travelling to the supplier on occasions.
  • Working with Legal, Finance, Procurement and DPO Office, Reg Risk & Compliance to carry out due diligence checks in respect of solvency, business continuity, regulatory requirements to ensure no impact to esure or its’ customers.
  • Identify what MI is required to ensure close monitoring and control of performance in relation to key business objectives.
  • Develop and use Management Information, challenging any inconsistencies to ensure full understanding of business trends, and act to maximize business performance.  This is key in a fast paced changing environment.
Qualifications
  • Good demonstrable evidence of motor insurance claims knowledge.
  • Experience of supplier and contract management.
  • Strong understanding of Risk and how each supplier and business outcome could affect brand reputation.
  • Knowledge and experience of handling Complaints in the context of FCA regulations.
  • Knowledge of GDPR and DPA requirements.
  • Knowledge of Consumer Duty regulations.
  • Good knowledge of statistical analysis.
  • Excellent demonstrable negotiation and influencing skills and an ability to remain resilient when challenged.
  • MCIPS qualified or working towards would be desirable.
