Job Description :

Recruit Insure are looking for a Casualty Claims Technician to join our clients Casualty Team. This is a hybrid role with at least 3 days in the office based in Chelmsford after probationary period.

The opportunity:

Reporting to the Operations & Client Relationship Manager you will be an active member of the Support function and you will be responsible for the administration of the Casualty Real Estate Claims.

The role:

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Administer new claims by receiving instructions, issuing acknowledgments, capturing data, risk screening, and triaging cases.
  • Distinguish between notification-only cases and formal claims.
  • Collaborate closely with Adjusters to assist with investigation and validation inquiries.
  • Manage the lifecycle of claim files, ensuring proactive diary management and handling.
  • Communicate with insured parties, insurers, brokers, and other stakeholders to provide excellent customer service, acting as the primary point of contact.
  • Ensure time reporting and billing align with internal standards, processes, and systems.
  • Capture data and produce management information (MI) for clients and internal use, including performance measurement and data integrity reports.
  • Maintain compliance with company standards, including technical, operational policies, data protection, and information security protocols.
  • Provide account management support.
  • Handle incoming telephone calls and resolve related queries.
  • Process invoicing.
  • Liaise with insurers for monthly liability claim updates via bordereaux reports.

About you - Knowledge and Experience:

They are looking for an ambitious self-starter who is highly organised and able to self-manage the workload to deliver consistently high-quality output. You will need to have a good understanding of Casualty claims and will need:

  • Strong working knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Thrive in a high-pressured working environment
  • Be driven to meet and exceed targets
  • It would be desirable to hold or be working towards a professional claims qualification
  • Organised and self-motivated
