Class 1 Driver - Right Now Group : Job Details

Right Now Group are working with a leading provider of specialist packing and international shipping service that specialise within the fine art, and antiques industry. They are seeking a skilled and motivated Class 1 Driver to join their team local to slough.

Salary: Up to £40,000 Location: Local to Slough Shift: Monday - Friday

Key Duties:

• Expertly manage and pack fine art, antiques, and high-value furniture to ensure their safety during transit.
• Assess items to determine appropriate handling techniques, ensuring they are packed securely for transportation.
• Wrap, load, span, and tie down items within trucks to guarantee stability and protection against damage.
• Operate trucks for local, national, and European deliveries, ensuring all items are transported securely and on schedule.
• Safely install and de-install fine art and furniture at client locations with precision and care.
• Collect and deliver a wide range of items, including paintings, sculptures, and high-value furniture.
• Maintain consistent communication with the operations team throughout the day to facilitate smooth logistics.
• Engage directly with clients, delivering exceptional customer service and professionalism.
• Accurately complete all necessary documentation, such as bills of lading, timesheets, detailed condition reports (including photographs), and item labelling.

The ideal candidate:

• Class 1 HGV license with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience handling fine art, antiques, or high-value goods
• Knowledge of professional packing and transportation techniques is highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle delicate items with care.
