Are you looking for your next rewarding Teaching role? We are looking for a talented Class teacher (with emphasis on PSHE) to join one of our schools located in Truro. Experince working with SEN students is essential. QTS or equivilant. Attainment of GCSE (or equivalent), grade C in English, and Maths.

Oak Tree School is a specialist SEMH provision positioned near the city of Truro in Cornwall. The school provides full-time specialist co-education for up to 135 pupils and young people aged 5 to 18 who experience social, emotional, mental health, communication difficulties and associated challenging behaviours. These pupils and young people often cannot cope, function or achieve within a mainstream environment. The aim is to provide a structured, nurturing approach, with pupils accessing a broad, balanced and engaging curriculum to meet their significant needs.

Your role will include:

• Planning and teaching
• Assessing following the school marking policy
• Promoting good progress and outcomes
• Adapting teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of pupils
• Managing behaviour effectively
• Demonstrating good curriculum knowledge
• Liaising with parents

Requirements for the role include being a committed and talented teacher who is able to promote the schools ethos and values. The school is looking for someone who is a caring and nurturing person, adaptable and flexible with your methods as well as resilient and patient with challenging behaviors.
