Our busy cleaning team carryout cleaning and checks to our communal areas on our estates across Birmingham.

We are looking for a dynamic Cleaning Manager who wants to make a difference. You will be responsible for the day to day management and supervision of 3 Supervisors and approx. 32 cleaners to help maintain high standards of cleaning in our blocks. We also look after estates in Worcester and Hereford

In housing you can make a real difference, the role of Cleaning Manager will involve:

  • Managing a large team of cleaners based in Birmingham, Hereford and Worcester
  • Ensuring all compliance checks, fire alarms, emergency light checks are completed and recorded as completed and any faults reported
  • Ensuring the highest standard of cleaning is achieved by all operatives,
  • Working with Supervisors and hold regular meetings to address any issues and find resolutions to problems
  • Working with other colleagues such as Neighbourhoods to provide consistent and effective delivery of services
  • Being responsible for the personal line management of the team including performance and personal development assessments, mentoring and where appropriate, disciplinary action.
  • Working with our customers to understand their requirements on cleaning in their blocks.

As Cleaning Manager we need you to have:

  • Previous management experience
  • Previous cleaning experience
  • Decisive, capable and balanced in dealing with a wide range of day to day operational issues, decisions and pressures
