Cleaning Supervisor
Pay Rate: £12.10 Per HourContract: PermanentWorking Hours: Monday - Friday - Flexible from 12pm - 10pm 37.5 hours per week Location: GlasgowWould you be interested to join a leading cleaning company with a reputation for excellence? OCS is currently recruiting for a Evening Cleaning Supervisor to join our passionate and driven team in Integrated Solutions Division, working at Glasgow on a permanent basis! Working within a Team of around 15 Cleaning Operatives and 2 Supervisors, you will be responsible for cleaning office space including washrooms and kitchen areas to the required standards. Progression opportunities available within Facilities Management services. Apprenticeships opportunities available to support progressionYour primary responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the cleaning of all areas of the building including office space, communal areas, stairwells, kitchens and washrooms (plus other ad hoc areas) and ensuring areas are cleaned to the required standards
- Day to day management of a large cleaning team
- Management of the cleaning team's rotas, holidays and absence
- Conducting probation review and absence review meetings with team members
- Responsible for taking new employees through the full induction and training process and ensuring all training records and paperwork is completed thoroughly, also carrying out regular refresher training with the current cleaning team
- Responsible for conducting cleaning audits on a weekly basis and escalating any areas for concern for support from the Facilities Coordinator/Manager
- Responsible for managing the monthly PPM's and reactive jobs coming through the helpdesk and actioning; closing within the client Service Level Agreements
- Ensure the cleaning team are working in line with client Service Level Agreements
- Hold weekly team meetings and briefing sessions with your team to ensure clear and consistent communication
- Management of stock and consumables, Following the stock management process ensuring the site holds the correct level of stock at all times and that stock is distributed to cleaning cupboards
You will come into regular contact with our client so you must be able to assist them when required, we also ask you must be able to complete all Health and Safety training as required. The use of chemicals will be a key part of your working day, full PPE is provided. This is a very active role and includes continuous walking around a large site.About You:
- Previous experience as a cleaning supervisor would be a great advantage but full training will be provided
- Team Player who is happy to help and assist with the wider team on a daily basis
- Technology skills are beneficial as the role requires the use of mobile telephone and computer
- Experience in dealing with staff, rota and training
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent attention to detail required
- Experience in COSHH and manual handling is beneficial
- BPSS and right to work checks required
