We are looking for a motivated and organised Clerical Assistant to join our dedicated team in the Newport Dialysis Unit.

Our Dialysis Unit is a busy and dynamic setting, and we’re looking for someone who can prioritize tasks effectively, stay calm under pressure and help ensure our patients have a smooth experience from the moment they arrive.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills looking to contribute to a clinical team in a patient-focused environment.

Key Details

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week. Monday - Friday, 8:00 to 15:30.

Salary: £23,970 per annum.

Location: Newport Dialysis Unit, Suite B, Caradog House, Cleppa Park, NP10 8UG. Free parking available on site.Your main responsibilities:

• Act as a receptionist, dealing with first-line telephone enquiry.
• Input data onto systems as required e.g. patient activity, clinical results.
• Liaise with transport and other departments, both within the hospital and externally.
• Gather information and prepare standard reports - blood results, inpatient days etc.
• Assist the dialysis unit manager with correspondence.
• Prepare and coordinate the clerical correspondence between the unit Consultant and General Practitioners.

What you need to succeed:

• Previous clerical or administrative experience.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confident using IT systems (Microsoft word and excel).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy, fast-paced environment.
• A compassionate and patient-focused attitude.
