Client Accountant - Adele Carr Recruitment : Job Details

Adele Carr Recruitment is proud to be working alongside a thriving accountancy practice on the Wirral, supporting their search for a full-time Senior Accountant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is ready to take on a key role in managing a diverse portfolio of clients and ensuring all compliance deadlines are met.

The ideal candidate will have over three years of experience in a similar practice-based role and hold ACCA or ACA qualifications (although strong part-qualified applicants with relevant experience will also be considered).

Key qualities we're looking for:

• Highly motivated and dependable
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Strong team player with the ability to organise and prioritise tasks independently
• Solid decision-making abilities
• Proficient with modern technology

Key responsibilities:

• Preparing statutory accounts and Corporation Tax returns for a wide range of clients, including sole traders and limited companies
• Completing personal tax returns and handling client bookkeeping
• Preparing and reviewing VAT returns
• Managing client relationships both face-to-face and via phone/email
• Handling correspondence with HMRC on behalf of clients
• Supporting a varied client base with different accounting needs
• Experience with Xero, Quickfile, and Tax Calc is an advantage
