An established and widely known Wealth Management firm servicing Investment Management needs to High-Net-Worth Clients.
The Role
The Client Due Diligence Team Manager will have previous experience in team leadership and solid experience in AML/CDD as they will be managing, and have overall accountability for the CDD team and function - all client types. The Client Due Diligence Team Manager will ensure AML requirements are met for client onboarding and ongoing monitoring purposes, mitigating risk and working towards meeting the firm’s strategic objectives.
The Client Due Diligence Team Manager will be a point of contact of all AML related escalations and to work closely with the DMLRO/ MLRO in ensuring AML risks are managed in adherence with the Financial Crime Policies.
The Client Due Diligence Team Manager will be responsible for AML procedures and processes within the team and suggest efficiencies ensuring AML risks are appropriately managed
The Client Due Diligence Team Manager will have oversight of assigned projects (i.e. remediation) and will ensure these are delivered to deadline and to a high standard.
The Client Due Diligence Team Manager will contribute towards the discussion, challenge and remediation in the offboarding of clients (including High Risk)
The role will be the Chairperson of the High-Risk Committee and escalate to the Executive Committee appropriately and will contribute and take part in Compliance and Risk Committees providing AML MI for review, challenge and discussion.
The Client Due Diligence Team Manager will receive information from the MLRO/ DMLRO regarding regulatory changes and apply any changes to working practices.
The Client Due Diligence Team Manager will undertake quality assurance of Management activities, refer to the DMLRO/ MLRO any non-compliance with the CDD requirements and agree appropriate action.
The Client Due Diligence Team Manager will support with the facilitation of AML training to the wider business and perform any other AML related duties as required.
The Candidate
+3 years experience within CDD/AML in a team management or leadership role
Confident communicator with strong leadership skills.
Good knowledge of FCA rules relating to AML and JMLSG and solid understanding of the processes that support CDD requirements for Wealth Management.
Able to provide challenge and take part in constructive and proactive discussion
Excellent presentation skills
