Key Responsibilities:
As Client Manager, you’ll take on a variety of responsibilities, including:
- Day-to-day running of the practice: Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth functioning and efficiency, playing a critical role in the firm’s growth and success.
- Client portfolio management: Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, providing a range of services, from accounts and tax planning to advisory services.
- Year-end accounts preparation & Corporation tax computation: Lead the preparation of year-end accounts and corporation tax computations, ensuring deadlines are met and accuracy is maintained.
- Personal tax returns: Prepare personal tax returns for your portfolio of clients, ensuring timely filing and compliance with tax regulations.
- VAT preparation: Assist with VAT preparation when required, ensuring all necessary documentation is in order.
- Compliance: Ensure that financial documents are accurate and comply with relevant laws and regulations, minimising risk for clients and the firm.
- Taxation advice: Offer expert tax planning and advice, helping clients optimise their tax positions and make informed financial decisions.
- Allocate tasks to team members: Delegate work to bookkeepers and other accountants, ensuring the right people are on the right tasks for efficiency and skill development.
- Mentoring and support: Guide and support junior staff, providing feedback and coaching to help them grow professionally and achieve their potential.
Requirements
- Post-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with strong experience within an accountancy practice.
- Demonstrated experience in year-end accounts preparation, corporation tax computation, VAT, and personal tax returns.
- A confident and capable leader, with the ability to mentor junior staff, allocate tasks effectively, and manage a portfolio of clients.
- Detail-oriented and committed to ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and provide them with sound financial and tax advice.
