Job Role: CNC Grinder / Machine OperatorLocation: Leicester, LE18Type: Full-time, PermanentShift: 37-hour contract - 3 shift pattern (morning, afternoon and night rotation)*Pay Rate: £18.00 to £19.00 per hour including shift allowance

*Training will be on a day shift

Optima UK have an exciting new opportunity for a CNC Grinder / Machine Operator to work in a well established manufacturing facility in the Leicestershire area.

Job Role:

To operate CNC Machines (Grinding and EDM) in line with workload requirements, ensuring that all parts are machined to meet customer requirements and strict quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating CNC Grinding Machines, ensuring that parts are machined in accordance with the agreed method specification· Attain machine setting skills to enable machine set ups · Understanding of engineering drawings· Inspecting parts in line with quality procedures and taking any necessary, approved, action to resolve quality issues· Operating CMM machines to support inspection requirement

The candidate:

• Previous experience in CNC Grinding is advantageous but not essential

• Previous experience in CNC machining is advantageous

• Experience within an Aerospace sector is advantageous

• Ability to read engineering drawings

• Able to self-inspect own parts using manual measuring equipment
