CNC Machinist – Nightshift

• Job Type: Full-time
• Salary: £22.68 p/hr

We are looking for a skilled CNC Machinist to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will be a time-served machinist with experience in turning and milling. This role requires a proactive individual who can work well within a team environment and has a strong understanding of CNC Machining in an Industrial Engineering setting.

Day to Day of the role:

• Programming and operating CNC machines to produce products that meet quality standards and specifications.
• Understanding and working with tolerances, geometric tolerances, and surface finishes.
• Using measuring equipment such as micrometres, verniers, plug gauges, screw plugs, and ring gauges.
• Working with a variety of materials including Non-Ferrous, Aluminium, Alloy Steel, Stainless Steel, Inconel, and Titanium.
• Demonstrating a can-do attitude and collaborating effectively with team members.
• Being flexible and willing to work overtime to meet customer requirements.
• Continuously expanding knowledge and training in other machining processes.
• Sharing expertise and training other team members.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Time-served CNC machinist with turning and/or milling experience.
• Experience in a CNC Machining/Industrial Engineering environment.
• Proficient in programming and operating CNC machines.
• Familiarity with a wide range of materials.
• Ability to use various measuring equipment.
• Strong team player with a can-do attitude.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime.
• Enthusiastic about learning and personal development.

Hours of work:

• Standard Nightshift – 38 hours per week; Monday to Thursday 1800 to 0330 with 30-minute lunch.
