CNC Machinist - Reed : Job Details

Reed Engineering are representing a client who are seeking a CNC Miller Programmer to join their friendly team working in a busy machine shop

Key Responsibilities-

Responsible for machining products to drawing specifications and to customers quality requirements, and relevant documentation in the most efficient manner.

Person Specification-

The ability to read and understand written instruction is essential.Working under your own initiative.Ability to read, write and edit programmes at the machine.Ability to read engineering drawings.Ability to interpret and understand inspection reports.The ability to work to tight tolerances.Have a good understanding of Lean Manufacturing.CAD CAM knowledge an advantageProgramming an advantage

Mechanical and technical skillsAbility to configure machine settingsAbility to read technical drawingsAbility to use key measuring toolsAttention to detail and methodical approachAbility to work as part of a teamAnalytical skillsWorking under your own initiative.

CNC Setter Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum 5 years CNC Milling experienceApprenticeship or technical qualification such as an HNC/HND or City & GuildsSet up fixtures, tooling, and programmesAble to read and understand engineering drawings
