CNC Miller/Turner
My client based in Thame is looking for a skilled CNC Miller/Turner to join their team. The company specialise in one off bespoke parts using a wide variety of materials. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in precision engineering, with experience in machining high quality components.
Key responsibilities
- Operate, set and program CNC milling and turning machines to produce precision engineered components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD Models.
- Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feed for different materials and machining process.
- Inspect finished parts using measuring tools to ensure they meet quality standards
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any mechanical issues
- Work efficiently to meet production targets whilst maintaining high accuracy
- Adhere to health and safety procedures
- collaborate with engineers to improve processes and product quality.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a CNC Miller/Turner in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in CNC programming.
- Strong understanding of machining principles and cutting tool selection.
- Experience working with different materials such as steel, aluminium and plastics
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
40 hours a week (can be flexible)
£15 -£20 per hour DOE
Overtime paid at time and a third
20 days holiday plus bank holidays
