CNC Setter/Operator - Company Overview

Our client, a well-established Engineering company, are currently looking for a CNC Setter/Operator to join their friendly, growing team on a full-time basis.

The successful candidate will assist with setting, operating, and occasionally programming CNC Mills and Lathes. The role will involve working with technical drawings, selecting the appropriate tooling, and ensuring the dimensional accuracy and quality of the machined parts.

CNC Setter/Operator - Roles & Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC lathes and milling machines.
• Interpret technical drawings and specifications for accurate production.
• Select and install the correct tooling for each job based on material and machining requirements.
• Develop and modify CNC programmes as needed to optimise processes.
• Conduct in-process inspections to ensure accuracy and quality of parts.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines to maintain a secure work environment.

CNC Setter/Operator - Skills & Experience

• Experience in setting, and operating CNC machines, ideally Hurco.
• Programming experience is highly advantageous.
• Ability to read technical drawings and use basic measuring equipment.
• Additional skills such as forklift operation, press work, assembly work, and welding are beneficial.
