Our client, a forward-thinking Further Education College committed to "Empowerment Through Learning," is seeking a visionary Centre Principal to lead their curriculum, teams, and learners to new heights of success.You must have strong experience teaching within 16 to 19 age group within (ideally) Engineering and Construction disciplines and live in the East Cheshire area (or be happy to relocate from elsewhere within UK). Why This Role?

Your Responsibilities:
  • Curriculum Development: Innovate and oversee engaging, high-quality courses aligned with current workforce needs as well as recruit, mentor, and develop high-performing team, fostering culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Student Success: Ensure exceptional learning experiences, monitor progress, and support students’ personal and professional growth and manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring best value and sustainability.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards in teaching, learning, and assessment while driving continuous improvement and build strong partnerships with employers, industry leaders, and wider community to enhance student opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Degree in a relevant field, + teaching qualification, + proven track record in educational leadership within (ideally) Engineering and/or ConstructionFE sector.
  • Excellent knowledge of latest national quality standards e.g., Ofsted
  • Proven experience of consistently delivering high standards of work whilst managing significant change
  • Sound knowledge and experience of Quality Assurance and self-assessment or self-regulation within Further Education
  • Experience of managing large curriculum teams to achieve optimum standards of curriculum delivery outcomes
  • Experience of managing and leading curriculum areas and staff to achieve student outcome and income targets
  • Experience of Government policy in FE/HE sector and current FE/HE environment including Common Inspection Framework and QAA Framework
  • Demonstrable track record of successfully raising learner recruitment, participation, retention, attainment, value added and progression in a financially challenging environment
  • Experience of fostering productive organisational climate that is focused on stakeholders and achievement of high standards
  • To robustly demonstrate understanding of qualities of outstanding teaching and effective learning, including different teaching and learning styles
  • Experience of managing capability/performance in timely, clear but supportive and respectful fashion
  • Demonstrable track record in leading department/team over period of time and improving performance of the area
  • Demonstrate evidence of continuous professional development in teaching and learning
  • To demonstrate evidence of and commitment to Safeguarding of Learners
