Commercial Account Executive
The role
We are looking for an experienced Commercial Client Executive to help develop and maintain our Commercial book of business. We work with numerous different types of medium and corporate-sized businesses from those in manufacturing, logistics and contracting to those operating in retail, hospitality and business services, to name just a few! Experience in commercial insurance is essential for this role, with sound technical knowledge and a keen interest in further developing specialist knowledge in insurance, risk management and the specific client sectors we work with.
Commercial Client Executive job details:
- Deliver excellent customer service to clients, offering them accurate, independent insurance advice and support
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with clients, colleagues and insurers to ensure clients are comprehensively covered
- Negotiate with insurers to provide clients with a comprehensive insurance programme and value for their premium
- Develop business by identifying and developing opportunities for both new and existing clients, with the support of our marketing team where needed
- Maintain detailed knowledge of new and existing products and current sector conditions
- Monitor and report on performance against agreed targets and objectives
- Work effectively as part of the Commercial Team, collaborating with Account Handlers, Claims Handlers and other Account Executives to help achieve the wider company goals
Skills needed to succeed as a Commercial Client Executive:
- Excellent communication skills
- Previous experience and knowledge from working in the commercial insurance space
- Ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues and clients
- Basic computer literacy & numeracy skills
- Ability to work to set targets and objectives
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Commercial Insurance Account Executive
