Job title: Commercial Account Handler
Salary: Up to £30,000
Location: Shropshire (flexibility to work 3 days in the office but must be prepared to work 5 days to meet business needs if required)
PURPOSE OF ROLE
We are working with a highly respected insurance brokerage that is looking to add a Commercial Account Handler to its team. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with a background in Personal Lines insurance who are eager to transition into the Commercial sector. EXPERIENCE
- Experience working in Personal Lines insurance is essential.
- A desire to step into a Commercial Insurance role and develop within this sector.
- Proven experience in delivering excellent client service in a professional setting.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ideally working towards or willing to pursue Cert CII (Certificate in Insurance).
- Strong academic background, coupled with excellent IT proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Office).
DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage a portfolio of commercial clients, ensuring their insurance needs are effectively met.
- Handle policy administration tasks, including renewals, mid-term adjustments, and claims management.
- Negotiate with insurers to secure competitive terms for clients.
- Support the wider team in achieving business targets and delivering exceptional service.
SKILLS
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and insurers.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of work.
- Proactive and solution-focused approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
