Opportunity to join a dynamic, agile, and technology focused P.E backed recruitment group. This part of the group specialises in managed service provision and talent acquisition solutions. We're looking for a highly technical commercial analyst plan and coordinate the budgeting process (forecasting / reforecasting, and commercial modelling), risk management, and seek out opportunities to help the company develop and grow.
Reporting to and collaborating with the commercial director you'll be spearheading finance transformation though analysing / understanding the performance of the business, taking a proactive approach to problem solving / foreseeable challenges.
We're open on level of qualification (QBE, PQ, Qual), provided you boast advanced excel skill (visual basic), and ideally having exposure to working in / with a Managed Service Provider or recruitment business. Your core duties will include but are not limited to:
- Develop high-quality management information, performance measurements, and actionable reports.
- Proactive participation in bid processes to prepare supporting commercial materials. Providing timely, accurate and relevant financial information for; decision-making; profitability forecasting; float forecasting
- Determine pricing based on client, operational delivery model, competitor, and market dynamics
- Plan and coordinate the budgeting process, including updates and reforecasts
- Provide commercial direction and guidance to internal stakeholders ensuring accurately documented and maintained records
- Serve as a point of contact for clients regarding ongoing contractual matters
- Mitigate and resolve disputes to fully address our clients' concerns whilst protecting our commercial position
- Provide financial appraisals for major projects, including a significantly complex multi-faceted projects.
- Identification of potential liabilities, risks, opportunities, issues and disputes, arising with customers, suppliers, partners and third parties. Ensure all risks are documented and produce innovative mitigation plans by working collaboratively with relevant stakeholders.
- Implement and maintain effective commercial governance through internal processes to protect company interest and ensure fully aligned work approaches
Required experience, skill, and qualifications.
- Advanced excel (inclusive of visual basic)
- Ideally a recognised accounting degree; Accountancy & Finance, Business Administration, or similar.
- Successful work experience in a commercial finance role
- Sound knowledge of performance reporting and financial / budgeting processes
- Strong commercial awareness coupled with a strategic mind-set
- Excellent organisational, presentation and interpersonal skills. Ability to engage and influence at all levels
- Strong quantitative analytical skills, able to manage through data and translate into clear insights to build compelling and innovative strategies
