We are seeking a Commercial & Legal Assistant to play a pivotal role in supporting the commercial operations at our company. This role involves assisting in various tasks related to sales, procurement, contracts, and overall business development, facilitating the smooth functioning of commercial activities under the direction of the Group Head of Legal & Commercial.
Day to day of the role:
- Support the Group Head of Legal & Commercial with all contractual and administrative requirements.
- Onboard and regularly review approved partners, ensuring partner compliance and service delivery.
- Assist with the preparation, review, and administration of contracts and agreements.
- Maintain contract databases and ensure compliance with contractual terms.
- Draft contract amendments and renewals as necessary.
- Actively contribute to and influence business strategy and risk mitigation in key group forums.
- Participate in meetings and presentations with potential clients or partners.
- Provide general administrative support such as scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and handling correspondence.
- Maintain organised filing systems and document repositories.
- Keep CRM up to date with partner and client developments.
- Handle ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned by the commercial management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in a contracts or commercial department is desirable but not essential.
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a legal, commercial, or contracts department.
- Understanding of commercial processes, including sales, procurement, and contract management is desirable.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and familiarity with CRM software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Understanding of general contractual clauses and documents such as Non-Disclosure Agreements.
