The Role
As a Commercial Data Analyst, you will play a key role in providing data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making across sales, marketing, and publishing teams. You will analyze sales trends, market performance, and consumer behavior to help drive revenue growth and improve operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve the team’s strategy for the digital markets, including pricing best practices, processes, tools, reports and documentation.
- Work closely with sales, marketing, and editorial teams to optimize pricing, promotions, and distribution strategies.
- Support forecasting and budgeting by providing data-driven recommendations.
- Drive collaboration and cross-functional alignment between a wide range of functions and stakeholders to unleash the potential of AI and Analytics across the company.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership in a clear and concise manner.
About You
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis, visualisation, and reporting.
- Proficiency in data tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, R, or BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Understanding of commercial or financial metrics within a publishing, media, or retail environment is a plus.
- Ability to interpret data and translate insights into strategic recommendations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Economics, Business, or related).
- Experience working in a publishing, media, or entertainment industry is desirable but not required.
