Our client, a leading name in FMCG, renowned for creating iconic products are seeking a commercially minded FP&A / Commercial Finance Analyst.
Commercial Finance Analyst Role Purpose:
Join our client's dynamic Finance team as a Commercial Finance Analyst. Reporting directly to the Commercial Finance & FP&A Manager, you will be pivotal in providing accurate forecasting, budgeting, and analysis to drive informed decision-making and business growth.
This role would suit someone with experience dealing firmly with other departments, particularly with a strong sales team. You will need to handle strong characters and be comfortable presenting financial information in board meetings.
Commercial Finance Analyst Key Responsibilities:
- Business Partnering: Collaborate with Senior Management and Directors across departments (Sales, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain) to establish trust and credibility.
- Financial Analysis: Assist with modelling, pricing, costing, and profitability analysis. Support sales with promotional and profitability analysis, and variance analysis by price mix and volume impact.
- Reporting: Produce and distribute weekly/monthly operational reports, develop new reports to meet business needs, and ensure accuracy of financial reporting.
- Data Extraction & Analysis: Extract and analyse data from finance and operational systems to track spending and prepare monthly accruals and reports.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas to improve processes and reporting, drive cost-saving initiatives and efficiency improvements.
- Ad-hoc Analysis: Provide ad-hoc analysis and reporting as required.
Commercial Finance Analyst Skills & Experience:
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and work collaboratively within the Finance team.
- Finance experience working as a business partner.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to execute P&L analysis and attention to detail.
- Advanced Excel skills and knowledge of Power BI is a plus.
- Part Qualified or Qualified Accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA)
- Previous experience in Manufacturing/FMCG, and experience in international organisations.
Commercial Finance Analyst Package:
- Salary: £45,000 - £55,000
- Annual Leave: 33 days
- Study Support: For CIMA/ ACCA

- 3 days in their office, 2 days from home
