 Vision Vehicle Solutions has been helping victims of traffic accidents for over 20 years and provides a full claims management service and replacement vehicles to its clients. VVS is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Markerstudy Insurance Group.

The company runs a fleet of almost 1,000 vehicles, which it distributes through its 7 delivery and collection hubs across the country. With an annual turnover in excess of £20 million and ambitious plans to double this over the next 18 – 24 months, we are looking for an experienced Commercial Finance Business Partner to support the senior management team and the wider business in the delivery of it’s strategic and financial ambitions.

The Role:

As a business partner to our commercial functions, you will use your analytical skills and commercial acumen to influence stakeholders in financial and business decision making. You will be responsible for working with the business to support the delivery of business and financial objectives through the provision of insight and value driven outputs, including interpretation of key commercial management information.

The position will offer the successful candidate direct exposure to the Senior management up to and including the CEO. The ideal candidate will have solid financial acumen and grounding in accounting combined with exceptional stakeholder engagement/management skills and the ability to influence key business decisions.

The role will require the Commercial Finance Business Partner to work closely with Group Finance teams in the delivery of financial business plans and performance, including active focus on tracking capital expenditure and ensuring appropriate investment prioritisation.

The role holder will also support all statutory audit and regulatory compliance activities.

This role offers the flexibility of hybrid working with the option of 3 days per week in our head office in Uxbridge and 2 days per week working remotely.

Responsibilities:

  • Delivery of Board pack with value driven financial and non-financial insights.
  • Preparation and delivery of robust annual budgets and quarterly financial forecasts, including sensitivity analysis to aid and influence key business decisions
  • Working collaboratively and supporting the in-house finance team to ensure accurate processing and data entry of all transactions
  • Pro-active management of information flow from contributing departments to ensure information is timely and available to support decision making
  • Continuously identify opportunities to streamline and improve efficiency of our financial and non-financial processes and seek ways to add more value
  • Demonstrate bold curiosity by identifying trends and proactively presenting key findings and recommendations to the commercial teams.
  • Ensure compliance with all external statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Oversight of Risk management and Group compliance functions
  • Challenge of senior operational individuals over the underlying assumptions and information to ensure robust conclusions are reached
  • To monitor the team’s performance using MI, KPIs, QA and observation
  • Identify training and development areas both across the team and individually
  • Carry out team appraisals
  • Set appropriate targets for the team to monitor and drive performance and improve efficiencies
  • Ensure all processes and systems remain fit for purpose
  • Own and drive the implementation of any process changes as required
  • Build and maintain strong business partnering relationships across a range of stakeholders
  • Assist in team queries and escalations including stakeholder dissatisfaction and complaints

Skills:

  • A self-starter with ability to use initiative, think outside the box and challenge current process
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills – Intermediate to advanced excel skills
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills with strong attention to detail
  • Relevant accountancy qualification (not essential)
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft products and financial planning tools
  • Can focus the team effectively during busy periods
  • Have the ability to make fast, informed decisions
  • Good communication skills (both verbal and written) and able to communicate at all levels
  • Strong motivational skills
