Commercial Procurement Manager - Compass Group UK : Job Details

We are looking to hire a Commercial Procurement Manager to work alongside the Levy and RA Group Commercial Director. This is an exciting, pivotal, account management and commercially focused role within the Foodbuy Compass Commercial Management team. You will be responsible for delivering against a jointly agreed set of KPIs designed to help Levy and RA Group achieve its strategic priorities for the current financial year and beyond and to help Foodbuy achieve its procurement purpose.

The role helps to shape the strategic supply chain requirements of the two sectors, working with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure delivery. Interfacing with sector stakeholders, from members of the Exec teams through to the unit teams, the Commercial Procurement Manager will hold the wider functions within Foodbuy and suppliers to account on delivery and the development required to meet these needs.

The Commercial Procurement Manager will also play a role in the delivery of other UK-wide and sector specific critical projects as required, either as commercial lead or in support of a colleague.

Support the commercial activity within Levy and RA Group in 5 key focus areas, underpinned by consistent ways of working across the Compass Commercial Management team:

4. Managing Inflation and Controlling Costs

Experience required:

• Strong, resilient manager who works well under pressure, has commercial acumen and the ability to calmly weigh up options in a constantly changing and sometimes ambiguous business environment.
• Results oriented, comfortable supporting the Commercial Director to deliver on-time against bold and stretching targets.
• Proven experience of guiding others to resolve complex issues (ideally across the supply chain),
• Influencing cross functional teams to deliver business process improvement and desired outcomes
• Proven track record of managing multiple workstreams, working with stakeholders at all levels and delivering projects and change in complex organisations.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyse and interpret data to help inform decisions and to influence stakeholders.
• An infectious “Can Do” attitude and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a pressurised, fast paced and deadline driven environment.
• A great influencer who is comfortable engaging and where appropriate, challenging stakeholders, winning ‘hearts and minds’ and able to hold people to account.
