The Commercial Project Manager plays a significant role in shaping and delivering the Commercial functional strategy by ensuring that sales targets for commercial products are achieved through the development of profitable relationships with secondary-care and procurement customers across the UK and working with UK Commercial Management to develop commercial business opportunities. The person will also help in managing the identification and submission of all hospital/private sector tenders, manage the administration of NHS/private sector contracts, wholesaler invoices and dispensing doctor scheme, and manage internal pricing control submissions for all business units.

Role and responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of a commercial business plan to ensure relevant brand, company and departmental strategies and tactics are met.
  • Develop relationships with procurement, hospital, compounding, dispensing and hospice customers to obtain maximum benefit for Napp’s product range.
  • Keep abreast of trends in NHS initiatives relevant to the pharmaceutical industry and ensure opportunities are maximised where relevant to Napp.
  • Responsible for the implementation of commercial tenders and accountable for operational deliverables, monitoring of e-tender portals for contract opportunities. Responsible for developing relationships with national and regional procurement leads.
  • Leading the tender and pricing recommendations for Napp UK portfolio.
  • Reviewing contractual agreements and ensuring Napp can meet any reporting requirements.
  • Carry out monthly data load of wholesaler data in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Working with the Finance and Customer Fulfilment Teams to ensure prompt and accurate administration of wholesaler and dispensing doctor invoices and rebates.
  • Through RFP and other necessary projects, negotiate, establish, and manage wholesaler distribution agreements.
  • Work with Legal, Supply Chain, Compliance, Regulatory, Manufacturing and other functions to ensure wholesaler agreements reflect needs of the business.
  • Ensure that brand teams are kept informed of stock positioning, availability, system update timelines and other factors which might affect customer purchasing.
  • Review all changes in market and forecast accuracy, and comment in Anaplan, changing consensus forecasts where required in collaboration with Supply Chain.

  • Understanding of PI and Grey market
  • Knowledge of current NHS structure
  • Entrepreneurial spirit
  • Creative thinker through analytical activity
  • Advance capability and ability to assimilate, interpret and communicate complex ideas, data, and information from scenario planning to advance board presentations.
  • Ability to deliver comprehensive plans.
  • ABPI code of practice is nice to have.
