Commercial Property Lawyer / CILEx - Taunton
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Commercial Conveyancer, 2+ PQE, to join a dynamic property team within Taunton. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload of commercial property transactions, ensuring that all matters are handled efficiently, professionally, and with the highest level of client care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Caseload: Handle a wide range of commercial property transactions, including sales, purchases, leases, and development projects.
- Client Interaction: Provide clients with expert advice, ensuring clear communication throughout the transaction process.
- Drafting and Reviewing: Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts, leases, and other legal documents.
- Due Diligence: Conduct thorough due diligence on property transactions, including title checks, searches, and other relevant inquiries.
- Compliance: Ensure all transactions comply with relevant laws, regulations, and best practice standards.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across different departments, including Residential Property, Corporate, and Litigation, to provide comprehensive legal solutions.
- Business Development: Participate in networking and business development activities to grow the firm’s client base and reputation in the commercial property sector.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Qualifications: Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive, or Licensed Conveyancer with a focus on commercial property law.
- Experience: Proven experience in handling commercial conveyancing matters with a strong understanding of property law.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly and concisely.
- Organisational Skills: Strong organisational abilities, with the capability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Client-Focused: A strong commitment to providing exceptional client service, always maintaining professionalism and courtesy.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to anticipate issues and provide practical, effective solutions.
- IT Proficiency: Comfortable using case management systems and other legal software, as well as standard office applications like Microsoft Office.
Desirable Attributes:
- Experience working within a busy commercial property team
- Knowledge of local property market trends and issues
- Active involvement in local business networks or legal associations
