Commissioning Officer G8 - Spencer Clarke Group : Job Details

We are working in partnership with a Local Authority in Cardiff to appoint an experienced Commissioning Officer to join their Children Services Team!

As a Commissioning Officer, you will be expected to support the lead commissioners and outcome managers in achieving the expected and desired outcomes in given areas through effective commissioning activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee contract management, including drafting, monitoring, and addressing service delivery requests.
• Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to develop and execute commissioning plans.
• Review, interpret, and advise on commissioning and contract queries in partnership with Procurement, Legal, and Finance teams.
• Strengthen and maintain relationships with service providers to support their ability to meet the sector's evolving needs.
• Contribute to the delivery of cost-effective and high-quality outcomes.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience in commissioning, procurement, and contract writing, monitoring, and management (public sector experience preferred).
