Role Description

As our Communications Executive, you will be responsible for crafting and delivering impactful communication strategies that elevate our brands, promote our events, engage and inform our fans. In this role, you will lead communication efforts, manage crisis communications and align messaging with our goals. You will collaborate with our internal team and external agencies to deliver impactful messaging and amplify our brand presence across various channels.

Who you are

Competencies / Skills / Knowledge / Experience

  • Proven experience or exposure to a fast-paced PR or Communications role, ideally in live music or entertainment.
  • Excellent copywriting, interpersonal, and organisational skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Solid understanding of event promotion, media relations, and marketing/communications strategies.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms, content management systems, and tools like Mailchimp, Canva, and Monday.com.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, work efficiently under pressure, and meet deadlines in a collaborative environment.
  • Familiarity with sustainability messaging and a proactive, flexible approach to teamwork and independent work.

What the role includes

  • Lead all Comms and PR activities for DF Concerts & Events, ensuring impactful brand presence.
  • Craft engaging, targeted messaging for various channels and audience demographics.
  • Manage relationships with PR agencies, media, influencers, and industry partners to secure coverage and handle press enquiries.
  • Write and distribute press releases, acting as the primary media contact.
  • Oversee influencer marketing and develop campaigns aligned with company objectives and event portfolios.
  • Collaborate with marketing and design teams to maintain consistent branding across all materials.
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of engaging content for social media, website updates and email campaigns.
  • Coordinate customer communications, ensuring clear and consistent messaging for gigs and events.
  • Track and report on performance metrics, including media coverage, social engagement, and influencer impact.
  • Develop initiatives to enhance attendee experiences, promote events, and drive brand loyalty.
  • Handle out-of-hours crisis comms and represent Crisis Comms in the Joint Agency Control Centre at summer events.
