Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Communications Officer to join a prominent organization focused on enhancing the skills sector. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering impactful internal and external communications campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the communications team to implement a strategic communications framework that elevates the organization's profile within the skills sector.
- Create engaging and accessible content for social media, press releases, and the organization's website, focusing on company updates, success stories, and key milestones.
- Develop internal communication materials, including newsletters, to promote consistent messaging and visibility for leadership.
- Assist in organizing and managing various internal and external events, ensuring successful execution and representation of the organization.
- Support the marketing and communication efforts for the organization's awards program.
- Participate in conducting internal and external surveys, compiling reports for senior management.
Person Specification:Essential Requirements:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a solid understanding of communication best practices.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated experience in running communications campaigns and enhancing brand awareness via social media.
- Proven track record in managing external resources and building relationships with media and stakeholders.
Desirable:
- Familiarity with communication tools such as Meta Business Suite, Meltwater, WordPress, Google Analytics, and Mailchimp.
- Experience in event management.
- Interest in and knowledge of the apprenticeship and skills sector.
