Our client is a family-owned business rooted in the heart of North Yorkshire, which has been established over 30 years.We are seeking a detail-oriented Company Accountant to manage our clients finance department using Sage 50 and oversee a small accounts department whilst ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations as well as producing accurate management accounts.Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain up-to-date financial records and prepare management accounts for reporting into the board.
- Prepare budgets and forecasts.
- Produce balance sheets and income statements.
- Oversee the purchase and sales ledger
- Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
Experience required:
- AAT Qualified or similar
- Held a similar role reporting into the MD of an owner managed business
- Strong Excel ability and experience using Sage 50
