Finance Manager
- Annual Salary: £39,000 - £42,000

We are looking for a Finance Manager for a 12 month contract. You will have extensive experience in a busy, multi-tasked finance role, proficiency with accounting software such as Xero and Sage, expertise in forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management, advanced IT skills including Office, Excel, and CRM, the ability to improve business processes and foster collaboration, an understanding of subcontract accounting procedures, experience in preparing monthly management accounts reports for directors, and desirable HR experience.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Manage all business bank accounts and perform reconciliations.
- Handle sales and purchase ledgers, and service contract management.
- Oversee purchase order management and credit control.
- Monitor all income and business expenditure.
- Maintain the contracts master spreadsheet and manage monthly sales forecasting.
- Track and match all supplier and subcontractor invoices.
- Manage supplier payment runs monthly and produce financial reports for the Director, including forecasts, a monthly management accounts package, and annual company performance.
- Support the development of the annual budget and budget monitoring systems.
- Complete Month End and send reports, including quarterly VAT returns.
- Support the external accountant in producing the Year End accounts.
- Scan all financial paperwork into company SharePoint and ensure it is organised.
- Manage and oversee all business contracts to drive overhead costs down.
- Provide general HR and administrative office support for the Managing Director.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a multi-tasked Finance role.
- Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero and Sage.
- Advanced IT skills, including Office, Excel, and CRM.
- Strong understanding of forecasting, budgeting, and cashflow management.
- Knowledge of subcontract accounting procedures and monthly management accounts reporting.
- Excellent people management skills and a team-focused approach.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Confident, ambitious, self-starter, and commercially aware.
- Ability to work quickly and accurately with figures and provide attention to detail.
