Burman are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Compliance Officer to join our public sector organisation in Birmingham. This crucial role within the University's Apprentice Compliance Team and will focus on ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards, particularly in the area of degree apprenticeships.
As a Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for monitoring, reviewing, and ensuring adherence to all relevant legislation and internal policies related to degree apprenticeships. You will work closely with various departments to provide guidance, support, and training to ensure that our degree apprenticeship programs meet all compliance requirements. This role is key to maintaining the integrity and reputation of our apprenticeship offerings and ensuring that we provide high-quality education and development opportunities to our apprentices.
Key Responsibilities
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all degree apprenticeship programs comply with relevant regulations, including those set by regulatory bodies, funding agencies, and the apprenticeship levy.
- Policy Implementation: Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures related to degree apprenticeships, ensuring they are up-to-date and in line with current legislation.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Regularly monitor compliance activities, conduct audits, and prepare reports for senior management, identifying any areas of risk and recommending corrective actions.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to staff involved in the delivery of degree apprenticeships, ensuring they are aware of and adhere to compliance requirements.
- Quality Assurance: Work closely with quality assurance teams to ensure that degree apprenticeship programs meet high standards of delivery and assessment.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, apprenticeship providers, and employers, to ensure compliance with all external requirements.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement within the compliance framework and work collaboratively to implement enhancements that support the delivery of high-quality degree apprenticeships.
