Risk & Compliance Officer Opportunity Location: PiraeusA leading global firm is seeking a Risk & Compliance Officer to join its Business Services team in Piraeus. This role is pivotal in ensuring regulatory compliance, mitigating risk, and maintaining operational excellence across all aspects of the firm's practice.Key Responsibilities As the Risk & Compliance Officer, you will:

• Support Matter Inception: Facilitate the onboarding of new clients and matters, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and firm policies.
• Confidentiality Management: Assist in setting up and maintaining information barriers and insider lists as required.
• Risk Mitigation: Play a proactive role in identifying and addressing conflicts, working closely with legal and business services teams to ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks.

Ideal Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate will combine strong analytical skills with the ability to manage complex compliance requirements. Key attributes include:

• Experience & Expertise:
  • Minimum of six months in a compliance function within a regulated organization.
  • Background in law, with a degree or GDL qualification and some legal work experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) processes.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks governing law firms, including identifying conflicts and managing risks.
• Skills:
  • Exceptional administrative and organizational abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical mindset, capable of assessing risk and providing proactive solutions.
  • Resilience and the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information.
• Technical Proficiency:
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
