A growing manufacturing business is searching for a Compliance & Sustainability Assistant in the greater Maidstone area.Your RoleWhile in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:
- Supporting senior management with matters relating to product safety, quality, human rights, legality and environmental sustainability
- Collating and maintaining accurate records including setting up new suppliers and sites, maintaining supplier seasonality records, managing supplier status and uploading supplier, site and grower due diligence records
- Communicating with suppliers to gain due diligence information including pesticide compliance, relevant ethical requirements, certifications and audit information and leading the administration for the internal platforms
- Communicating supplier approval status for each stage of the due diligence process, as well as updating the internal team, raising any identified issues that may prohibit supply and seek resolutions to these
- Updating food safety, ethical and environmental due diligence on the platforms, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Producing and reviewing compliance KPI reports, identifying gaps and working to close these
- Onboarding new suppliers onto the system accurately, and updating approved supplier lists
- Monitoring due diligence throughout the supply period and investigate incidences including near-misses, unapproved arrivals and non-compliancy, recording all information accurately
- Overseeing the process for residue sample requesting
- Collating all compliance data to review at the end of season for customers and suppliers
You MUST Have:Please apply ONLY if you meet the following criteria:
- Must have previous experience in audits including GMP, HACCP Level 2 and TACCP trained
- Have an understanding of BRCGS, Customer & Food Safety Standards
- Knowledge of pesticides
- Exposure to compliance
- Understanding of customer audit requirements
- ERP systems knowledge, preferably Prophet
