Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Team Leader to join our Property Management Compliance team; the role will report to the Compliance Manager and will be responsible for direct management of 3 team members.
The ideal candidate will posses strong Compliance skills having worked in a similar role previously and helps to support the Compliance function to undertake the responsibility of ensuring that all departments operate in line with regulatory, statutory, legal, and internal policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
The Compliance Team Leader is responsible for managing the continuous conformance to the following Property Management areas:External:
Legal / Statutory / Regulatory Compliance
Ensure adherence to RICS/ARMA requirements:
- Client Money Handling.
- Service Charges in Commercial Property.
- Other applicable standards.
HMRC Governance:
- Making Tax Digital (VAT).
- Non-Resident Landlord Scheme.
- Construction Industry Scheme.
- AML for Accountancy services.
- General Accounting Practises.
Audit:
- SOC1 (ISAE 3402) Accreditation.
- Site Audits (Cash Handling/Site income).
Internal:
Key Compliance areas
- Conformance monitoring.
- Access/User management.
- Permissions Governance.
- Suppler Validation controls.
- Client onboarding checks.
- Breach Management.
- Client monies relates policy and procedures.
Management Reporting:
Preparation of monthly reporting packs to Property Management Senior Management of key risk areas.People Leadership:
- To set clear objectives in line with company/Divisional/team strategy and to measure performance against these.
- To conduct regular 121’s, hold team meetings and complete thorough probationary, interim, and annual appraisals as per company guidelines.
- To support team members in career development via training (to ensure high skill levels both technically & behaviourally), coaching, mentoring and the promotion and succession/talent processes.
- To always adhere to all company processes with regards to people management and to role model professional behaviours.
- To ensure recruitment is completed professionally and in line with team/divisional/company goals, thinking strategically re future needs and in line with our diversity goals.

- A minimum of 3 years within a management role or equivalent.
- Compliance Qualifications (desirable but not required).

The Risk and Compliance team are a core department within the Savills business, comprising of 6 members, and covering various aspects of internal and external compliance for the company.
