Connected Car Validation Engineer (0914) - £30.02/hr PAYE (inside IR35)

With a focus on professional growth and development, the position promises a dynamic and fulfilling career path in a stimulating work environment.What You Will Do:• Support the Electrical & Electronic Test team with end-to-end system validation for connected car telematics systems, covering both on-board and off-board environments.• Conduct testing for function, performance, and reliability to meet design/test standards/specifications and regulatory requirements.• Engage in interoperability testing of connected systems and create test plans aligning with project and design milestones.• Perform root cause investigation of complex concerns under the guidance of component or system engineers, including data logging and analysis.• Utilise industry-standard management systems such as JIRA and TestRail for concern categorisation, tracking incidents through to closure.• Provide technical support and software management for the vehicle manufacturing plant and the test fleet.What You Will Bring:

• Experience in software application into vehicle ECUs in a manufacturing environment, including flashing, coding/configuration, and calibration.• Automotive electrical and electronic system development experience, having completed at least two vehicle developments (or able to demonstrate equivalent experience).• Experience of validation of multiple software versions simultaneously and adapting prioritising validation activities.• Knowledge of network communications and multiple bus principles (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).• Ability to operate CANalyzer, CANoe, Matlab software or similar for capturing data, analysis of data and preparing/executing test procedures.• Demonstrable practical experience in problem-solving tools and techniques, e.g., Kepner Tregoe/Six Sigma. • Knowledge of software programming and software quality assurance.• A degree qualification in a relevant discipline.
