- Oversee projects end to end, including schedule of design/works and all Project Management tasks
- Updating internal IT system that tracks tasks associated with each Project.
- Management and preparation of all documentation for tendering/negotiation of works.
- Appointing and managing external bodies. i.e. consultants, planners etc.
- Report to Management on quality and specification achieved on site.
- Manage and direct the pre-start and ongoing review meetings with contractors.
- Ensure the Build Handover Schedule is up to date and manage the handover of units.
- Work with Principal Designer in issuing Pre Construction info and review/approve plans.
- Provide assistance with the management and preparation of the financial budget processes.
- Ensure all data within the cost database is maintained at all stages.
- Manage all variations from the scope of works, ensuring proper identification, communication and approval.
- Validating Main Contractor applications for payment by reporting on progress and quality of work.
- Ensure that project presentation is a high standard pre-launch and throughout the sales process.
- Liaise with sales/marketing in relation to design and specification.
- Implement the health and safety policy, ensuring practices and procedures are followed.
Construction Project Manager - Person Profile
- Experience as Project Manager or Quantity Surveyor in the Construction industry
- Experience and passion for varied refurbishment projects, ideally in the residential sector
- Construction or real estate degree or qualified by experience.
- Previous experience using project management software and/or databases to run projects
- Comfortable with financial / cashflow management, budgeting and managing variations through projects.
- Competent in preparation and management of all required specification and contractual documentation
- Proven organisation and communication skills
- Adaptable, focused on personal development and team orientated
- Regular travel across England and Wales - Full driving licence necessary
Construction Project Manager - What’s on offer:
Based: Bedfordshire (2 days office) / Hybrid / Site
Salary & Package: £55-60,000 + car allowance of £7,000/fuel + great benefits
