Job Title: Contract and Commissioning Manager - Children (Temporary)

Our client, a leading organisation in the public sector, is currently seeking a Contract and Commissioning Manager to join their Integrated Children's Commissioning & Procurement Team. This is a temporary position for a duration of 6 months.

Responsibilities:

  • Contract manage major strategic contracts across the commissioning cycle.
  • Ensure effective mobilisation of contracts.
  • Implement appropriate performance management, commercial process management (including risk management), supplier relationship management, and governance throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Make recommendations to the Croydon Council or Integrated Care Board (ICB) on the strategic allocation of resources to improve outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities to drive change and secure improved outcomes in the commissioning programme for Children, Young People, Education, and Health.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in contract management and commissioning in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of the commissioning cycle and contract mobilisation processes.
  • Ability to implement effective performance management and commercial process management.
  • Excellent supplier relationship management and governance skills.
  • Familiarity with the Children's Commissioning & Procurement landscape.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Working Pattern:

This position will require 2 days per week of site presence, with the remaining time being spent on remote work.

Contract Details:

- Contract Type: Temporary

- Daily Rate: £350 to £400 per day Umbrella

- Driving Requirement: No

- Contract Length: 6 months
