The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the legal aspects of property transactions, ensuring the smooth transfer of ownership from seller to buyer. You will work closely with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other legal professionals to facilitate residential or commercial property transactions, ensuring all legal requirements are met.Key Responsibilities:
- Property Transactions: Oversee the end-to-end conveyancing process for the sale, purchase, and remortgaging of residential or commercial properties.
- Drafting Contracts: Prepare and review legal documents such as contracts, transfer deeds, and mortgage documentation.
- Searches and Investigations: Conduct property searches (local authority, environmental, land registry, etc.) to identify any potential issues or restrictions.
- Client Consultation: Provide expert legal advice to clients, guiding them through the conveyancing process and ensuring they understand all legal aspects of the transaction.
- Negotiation: Liaise and negotiate with third parties such as solicitors, estate agents, and mortgage lenders to ensure smooth communication and timely completion of the process.
- Compliance: Ensure all transactions comply with legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements, including anti-money laundering (AML) and GDPR regulations.
- Completion and Post-Completion: Manage the completion process, including the transfer of funds and registration of the property with HM Land Registry (or relevant authority).
- File Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date client files, ensuring all documentation is properly filed and recorded.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Legal Background: Qualified conveyancer, legal executive, or solicitor with experience in property law and conveyancing.
