Job Title: Conveyancing Legal Assistant

Salary: £24,000-£28,000

Job Description:
As a Conveyancing Legal Assistant, you will support our conveyancing solicitors in managing residential and commercial property transactions. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the smooth progression of cases from instruction to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting solicitors with the management of conveyancing files.
- Preparing and drafting legal documents, including contracts, transfer deeds, and mortgage documents.
- Conducting searches and dealing with enquiries.
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other solicitors.
- Managing and updating case management systems.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and firm policies.
- Handling administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and scanning documents.
- Providing excellent customer service and maintaining client confidentiality.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a conveyancing, legal assistant or related administrative role
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management software (desirable)
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
Desirable:
- Legal qualification or training.
- Experience with residential and commercial property transactions.
