Description

• Assisting in sale and purchase transactions.
• Responding to emails and liaising with clients/agents on the phone.
• On sale files:
  • Managing the file from Enquiries to Completion.
  • Liaising with clients to get their responses to Enquiries and passing these to the buyer's Solicitors.
• On purchase files:
  • Taking over the file from exchange to Completion.
  • Carrying out relevant pre-exchange searches (e.g., OS1, K17).
  • Preparing the file for sign-off and conducting the exchange over the phone.
• After exchange on both sale and purchase files:
  • Drafting invoices and statements and sending these to the client for approval.
  • Setting up the matter for completion, including setting up the payment.
  • Ensuring Replies to Requisitions are on file, all monies are received from the client and/or Mortgage Advance.
  • Confirming bank details verbally over the phone before sending monies on the purchase.
• Once the matter has completed:
  • Filing the Stamp Duty.
  • Submitting the application at the Land Registry.

The Candidate

• Proficient in the use of Leap or another legal case management system.
• 2 years + Conveyancing experience
• CILEx course completed at College or Sixth Form (desirable but not required)
• Excellent customer service skills
• Skilled at written and oral communication
• Ability to work at a fast pace
